About Wye Valley Warfare

We’ve hosted laser tag since 1987, when we started with team-building events for spooks from who knows where. Back in the day, it was a strictly private affair.

Today, the equipment is spot-on and we’ve built a brand new outdoor Close Quarter Battleground for YOU.

The taggers are so smart that you can tag someone through leafy cover right at the far end of the Battleground. They are designed to give a novice the ability to hit a moving target just as well as a trained marksman, levelling the games and making them even more competitive.

You get trained staff, and games that are both safe and fun because we have over thirty years of running activities for private parties, schools, corporate clients, clubs and teacher-training. Our permanent Scenario Design Cadre includes former Senior NCOs of the SAS. Whether it’s protecting a VIP, penetrating a hostile checkpoint, destroying a drug factory, escaping an ambush, combat rescue or blowing up a bunker, you get the benefit of authentic experience.

That’s why Laser Ops is strictly Close Quarter Battle with a Special Operations twist. You get straight into action so that your games are more intense but less gruelling. It’s not military training - it’s tactical sport and it’s great fun.

Sporadic use of military training areas promotes wildlife, so we engaged Conservation Landscape Architect Barnaby Millard, then of the Wye Valley Butterfly Zoo, to deliberately build ecological enrichment into the Wye Valley Warfare Battleground in Symonds Yat.
